Trick or Treat, mommy and daddy style.

I’ve had a few people ask me for ideas for couples costumes. So I have been doing some research the past few days to come up with some of the best ones! I will start off with our costume from Halloween 2011!

I made both sets of overalls with just plain blue fabric from Joanns, using our own clothes as a pattern, and then bought the accessories. We both had the color shirts we needed so pretty inexpensive costume!

This year we are going as a family…can’t ruin the surprise so you’ll have to stay tune for them. (: But here are my top 5 couples costumes for 2013.

#1 Lightning and unlucky victim

I think this is such a cute idea and not something you see every year! Pretty cheap to. Make the lightning bolt out of card board and attach it you a plain black shirt and get a white button up and umbrella from a Thrift store and make them look distressed and burnt.

#2 Stackz

I mean cardboard boxes, colored paper, and duct tape. Doesn’t get much easier than that!

#3 Juno and Bleeker

Every item can either be found cheap at Wal-Mart or head to your thrift store and I bet you’ll find it there. I’m a sucker for this movie.

#4 PB&J

Not only did I discover a cute new blog when I found this one but its crazy cute! If i didn’t already have costumes planned I would make my husband be this with me LOL.

#5 Duck Dynasty! My favorite show right now!

This can be a couples costume, Phil and Kay, or a whole family event! This will probably be pretty popular this year, but I had to! (:

And because I kept going back to this one and I am sure it has been done before but it’s so cute…

#6 Robbers

I don’t know why I love it so much but I do. Super cute and simple.

There are a ton of options out there! You just have to be creative and think outside the box. A lot of costumes that are popular always are superheros, rock stars, vampires, and one I think will be popular, WIll and Kate with Prince George. Hopefully this gives you some ideas for your costumes this year! If you do take a picture and leave the link below so we can all see it!
